Lapindo Hot Mud Goes To Sea

The worst industrial disaster in Indonesia because of Lapindo Brantas Inc.'s oil and gas exploration in Sidoarjo, East Java. It happen near my hometown, Sidoarjo. I've seen how terrible is the disaster. If the mud cannot be stopped, my town will be like a mud lake with thousands residences burried there.
The spraying of hot mud has been going on since May 29, 2006, when workers of an oil and gas exploration company Lapindo Brantas were exploring gas in Sidoarjo. After the incident, a number of villages became submerged in hot mud forcing thousands of people to abandon their homes to find safer areas. Some 25,000 to 50,000 cubic meters of hot mud came out of the crack everyday, compelling concerned agencies to make five-meter embankments near the exploration well to prevent the hot mud from spreading to wider areas.
As I know, the mud is still flowing and taking wider area. Government is planning to dispose of the mud to sea... State Minister for the Environment Rachmat Witoelar has said the Lapindo Brantas hot mud shoud be processed before it was disposed of to the sea in order not to disturb the life in the sea. In principle, the solution for the hot mud problem has actually been found, namely, processing the mud until it's worth disposing of to the sea, the minister said. I wonder how to process the mud.
